Daniel Avery | g-HA & Olanskii | Øyvind Morken (early set)

The basement is open. It’s bigger and the sound system covers every square inch of the dance floor in a wall of sound. It’s grown in to its own, and it’s ready for Daniel Avery. The English DJ and producer arrives at Jaeger, somewhat delayed, but ready for the occasion as g-HA & Olanskii and Frædag step back into their comfort zone as our window to the world. Frædag is where g-HA & Olanskii showcase some of the best DJs in the world from their well-established platform at Jaeger. They host Daniel Avery in the basement.

Daniel Avery

Daniel Avery’s associations run deep with some of the UK’s leading musical foundations. A resident at Fabric; a legendary DJ kicks compilations; and Erol Alkan as friend and mentor, Daniel Avery ranks amongst legends today on the international DJ circuit. Cutting his teeth as a DJ, how else, he soon added remixer and eventually recording artist to his name, making that final transition with what has become an underground classic LP in the form of Drone Logic. He continues to make music, exclusively releasing his creations on Alkan’s Phanatasy Sound imprint and as a DJ he remains one of the worlds most sought after and favourite selectors.

g-HA & Olanskii

Two pivotal bodies in the sphere of Norwegian electronic music, g-HA & Olanskii are an event, a club, a DJ duo, and a musical authority for Norway. Individually adept as DJ, selectors and tastemaker, Ola “Olanskii” Smith-Simonsen and Geir “g-HA” Holger’s musical voices unified for Sunkissed, an events series that has become the backbone of Oslo’s electronic music scene and  beyond.

Øyvind Morken

Oslo`s Øyvind Morken (pronounced Oy-vind) has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. For the last nine years he has held down a residency at Jaeger. Eight of them weekly under the Untzdag banner, a wordplay for Onsdag, Norwegian for Wednesday. It became an institution in Oslo. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression was encouraged.
