Rave-Enka, the alter-ego of De Fantastiske To’s Ravi Brunsvik pulls us out of the Jæger Mix drought from the last week with his edition to the series. He kicked our Sunday off with the Osunlade mix of Cassy‘s “Feel”, a track that sets the tone for the mix with elements of Jazz conspiring with House in contemplative atmospheres. It’s a selection that personifies the DJ/Producer behind tracks, who grew up to the sound of blue note’s Jazz and who’s been lighting up dance floor catalogues alongside Marius Sommerfeldt as DFT for Paper Recordings, Bogota Records and Beatservice. The mix puts across a distinct feeling, without conforming to one particular style, and nothing is taboo as Ravi’s mantra of “isn’t all music equal” rings through every beat and semi-quaver of the music. Ravi is no stranger to this music, but as Rave-Enka his career is still in bloom, band his ascent has been a marvel to encounter.
