FRIDAY
Frædag: Marcel Dettmann

Marcel Dettmann | g-HA & Olanskii | Øyvind Morken

The big man is back! The DJ and producer synonymous with Berghain has been a regular fixture at Jaeger over the years with an extraordinary ability to extract the frantic energy of the big room  from every genre of music he touches. Whether it’s a largely EBM set; a tunnelling Techno set; or even just a single House track in a sprawling set; Dettmann covers it all.  He’s made a home away from home in Jaeger’s basement and he’s back for another go during Frædag with g-HA & Olanskii.

Marcel Dettmann

Ostgut, Berghain, Berlin and Marcel Dettmann. Those things have become synonymous with Techno.. A looming figure in both stature and symbol, Marcel Dettmann is nothing short of an icon today. He played a fundamental role in establishing the popularity of Berghain when it was still known as Ostgut, and today he is a highly sought-after DJ and selector. While Techno remains at the core of his pursuits, it’s Dettmann’s all-encompassing attitude to the genre, ranging from the origins of those first wavy beats of the eighties to the demanding reaches of modern House music, that makes him such a formidable figure in the scene

g-HA & Olanskii

Two pivotal bodies in the sphere of Norwegian electronic music, g-HA & Olanskii are an event, a club, a DJ duo, and a musical authority for Norway. Individually adept as DJ, selectors and tastemaker, Ola “Olanskii” Smith-Simonsen and Geir “g-HA” Holger’s musical voices unified for Sunkissed, an events series that has become the backbone of Oslo’s electronic music scene and  beyond.

Øyvind Morken

Oslo`s Øyvind Morken (pronounced Oy-vind) has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. For the last nine years he has held down a residency at Jaeger. Eight of them weekly under the Untzdag banner, a wordplay for Onsdag, Norwegian for Wednesday. It became an institution in Oslo. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression was encouraged.
