Ross from Friends (live) | g-HA & Olanskii | Øyvind Morken | more tba
No, this is not the one with the annoying fictional character as portrayed by David Schwimmer. This is Ross from Friends and it’s live! Ever since he made his first appearance at that now legendary Hubbas Klubb event, we’ve been looking for another opportunity to bring the artist and his three piece band back to Jaeger. Things got a bit complicated with a pandemic, but after some rescheduling we found a date and the stars aligned with Frædag hosting the “Tread” tour when it rolls into town. The tour comes off the back of a new LP by the same name, featuring new tracks and familiar favourites from the artist and his band. Ross from Friends performs live with g-HA & Olanskii bookending the show with DJ sets in our basement.

Ross from friends
Ross From Friends, AKA British producer Felix Clary Weatherall, is set to release his keenly anticipated second album ‘Tread’ on 22nd October via Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint. An artist who demonstrates an ever-increasing mastery of his craft, ‘Tread’ is a record that is at once sleek and melodic but also eminently danceable, nostalgic but brilliantly modern, with nods to sounds and styles that are not so much reflected but refracted and recontextualised through Clary Weatherall’s lens.
His affiliation with music came through his dad, who built up a sound system in the 1980s and toured it in a van to various squat parties around Europe—and it wasn’t long before Weatherall’s own experiments began. He divided his time between making music in bands and solo work, operating under a slew of different aliases, before becoming Ross From Friends in 2012.
A cornerstone of Ross From Friends music has always been the blistering Ross From Friends 3-man live show—comprising Felix, Jed Hampson & John Dunk—that delivers a killer blend of live musicianship (guitar, keys and sax) and electronics and has graced stages at the likes of Coachella, Glastonbury, Primavera and Sonar to name a few. With multiple sold-out dates across previous tours throughout the UK, EU, Australia and North America, the trio are returning this summer to perform at Green Man, Lost Village and Field Day prior to a headline tour in the UK, Europe and North America in 2022.
g-HA & Olanskii
Two pivotal bodies in the sphere of Norwegian electronic music, g-HA & Olanskii are an event, a club, a DJ duo, and a musical authority for Norway. Individually adept as DJ, selectors and tastemaker, Ola “Olanskii” Smith-Simonsen and Geir “g-HA” Holger’s musical voices unified for Sunkissed, an events series that has become the backbone of Oslo’s electronic music scene and beyond.
Oslo`s Øyvind Morken (pronounced Oy-vind) has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. For the last nine years he has held down a residency at Jaeger. Eight of them weekly under the Untzdag banner, a wordplay for Onsdag, Norwegian for Wednesday. It became an institution in Oslo. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party freaks for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression was encouraged.
