We are happy to announce that MUD Session and Stuesession are collaborating on an event where the “CLUBBING” spirit is at center, and focuses on creating an open space for all movers, and the different expressions within the club dance disciplines. We have some unique and passionate local and international artists with us that will be revealed in the upcoming weeks ahead.

With the event IN MY HOUSE.. WE: our aim is to create a meeting place that unites the club dance styles that have historically coexisted side by side. We want to build a bridge between the different club dance styles that grew out of queer culture, in clubs where Black and Latinx queer and transgender people radically needed to create safe spaces for expression and creativity. And wherein historically the club styles House Dance, Voguing and Waacking emerged from.
OUR VALUES: We are committed to being free from all forms of discrimination and violence, including (but not limited to): Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Islamophobia, Antisemitism, Ableism & Colourism. We stand in solidarity with Congo, Sudan, and Palestine. We reject all forms of oppression, occupation, and colonialism. We encourage respect, cultural awareness, and sensitivity – especially towards the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ community.

Kicking off the early evening: we invite you to the live dance performance “Cypher”. Where a live saxophonist takes us on a journey through improvised music, where the dancers and the audience are led by a host. This host creates moments of shared movement, inviting the audience to get carried away, in the collective rhythm (beat), where time disappears and the event is transformed into a living party. The host ensures that the participants, whether they want to actively participate or simply observe, can find their place in the experience.
Slowly moving into night-time: we invite you to a unique and alternative battle format. Where the categories Voguing, Waacking and House Dance come together under one roof. The essence and focus of the evening is CLUBBING, within the format of an exchange rather than a battle. The goal of the event is to create a space for motivation, inspiration and celebration of the dance forms – as it was historically in the beginning, where the styles grew and evolved side by side and in interaction with each other. This is an opportunity to remember that these cultures have always coexisted, and that they have been and are a source of inspiration. Especially in these times.
Finally the evening ends with an afterparty where an international DJ booking takes us on a Deep and Soulful house music journey.
