Finnebassen inaugurates his return to DJ booth with his first session for the Jaeger Mix
It’s official, Finnebassen is back and this week he makes his debut on the Jaeger Mix to cement his return to the DJ booth. Following an extended hiatus he’s tentatively come back to DJing with a few sets at the likes of Jaeger and the Villa with many more planned in the near future.
“It first, was quite scary, but now I really love it,” he says in the interview accompanying his Jaeger Mix. The mix thrives in the lower tempos, but retains his indelible sonic signature and reveals a side to Finnebassen we didn’t often get to see from his days headlining evenings and festival stages.
“To be quite honest, there were 4 people talking right next to the DJ booth and it didn’t seem appropriate to just bombard them with fast paced electronic music,” he says of his set. It turned out to be more laidback than he planned, but with a consistent chugging groove he didn’t leave anything on the table for a dance floor to emerge.
The mix comes a few days before his next set at Jaeger this Friday alongside g-HA & Olanskii, and in the interview we find an invigorated Finnebassen.
