A musical institution nestled in the heart of Oslo, Filter Musikk has long been a landmark for DJs and music enthusiasts in the Norwegian capital. From behind the counter, proprietor and Oslo DJ stalwart Roland Lifjell has cultivated a dedicated fan base around the shop with some of Oslo’s most prominent DJs and producers relying on the Filter Musikk for everything in electronic music, from records to equipment. Filter Musikk has garnered a cult status in the city and it at it extends its influence from beyond its doors, with night celebrating the records and the community that exists around it, with Sverre Brand and sometimes Roland Lifjell.

Producer, DJ and synth whisperer, Sverre Brand is a known entity in Oslo’s underground scene. Between music, djing and graphic design, he has focussed all his energies on contributing to the DIY region of club music. Playing the likes of Kafé Hærverk and Blå and the occasional stint at Jaeger Oslo, he’s a reserved presence in Oslo’s scene. He’s released records for the likes of Sunlab and HMD, and contributed to the artwork for international labels like Priori.
