Setaoc Mass | Bendik Baksaas (live) | Antiparalell (live) | Skodde | Naboklage
After the hedonistic heights of Disco, House et al, we bring the mirror ball down and go dark for our annual Techno night in the middle of Romjulsfestivalen. For the past few years, Flux have been the force behind Jaeger’s biggest Techno events and this Romjulsfestivalen is no exception. They take over both floors with a dedicated live floor where Bendik Baksaas, Skodde and Antiparalel take on the sauna while Naboklage joins Setaoc Mass in the basement for a couple of DJ sets. An almighty dirge ensues at the heart of Romjuslfestivalen with some unbridled Techno.

Setaoc Mass
Setaoc Mass is an essential voice in techno and electronic music today. As a DJ, producer and label curator, his vision is bold and clear, rooted as much in techno as it is in IDM and experimental music. His sound—sleek, hypnotic, ultra-refined—is instantly recognizable, the result of tastes and techniques honed over 15 years of monklike dedication to his craft. Setaoc Mass records are routinely gobbled up by DJs lauded by shops like Hard Wax. His labels, SK_Eleven (a platform for his own music) and SK_X (an outlet for music from like-minded artists are among the best in techno. As a DJ, he is a regular on the world’s most hallowed dance floors, from Berghain to Bassiani.
Bendik Baksaas
Electronic musician, DJ and composer Bendik Baksaas loves mechanical repetition and cherish the human rhythm. In the service of minimalism, he uses the sampler to reflect the sounds of the surroundings and reinterpret it in context of techno, ambient and norwegian traditional music.
A string of strong releases includes the acclaimed double album Duets, that received Natt&Dags album of the year 2018. Other highlights is the album Seine sviv, an ambient meditation on old Norwegian music and Til alt ute with poet Fredrik Høyer, a maximalist work of 26 songs, redefining performative poetry as a musical element in club music.
