Disco royalty and David Mancuso collaborator Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy makes a long-overdue appearance at Jaeger. Channeling that incredible legacy of the Loft today, Murphy’s sonic obsessions are legendary and between DJing and broadcasting she marks one of the most influential voices in Djing history. Disco reigns supreme on the 4th day of Christmas as Funk For Forest bring their infectious live show to the basement. It’s our annual Christmas concert featuring a set list with some familiar earworms played by one of Oslo’s finest live bands.

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy is a highly respected and experienced musical selector and curator, founder of the global album listening event and content hub Classic Album Sundays and an authority on music, sound and the vinyl renaissance. ‘Obsessed’ with radio from an early age Murphy started in broadcasting, but has covered every aspect of DJing and beyond in her career. A formative trip to David Mancuso’s Loft in New York in the early 90’s started a lifelong partnership with Mancuso as mentor and collaborator. although Murphy’s name is today inextricably linked with Mancuso’s – she co-produced The Loft compilations on Nuphonic that saw his reputation rise at the end of the 90s and continued hosting parties with him until his death in 2016 – her New York network also took in such luminaries as François Kevorkian and Joaquin Claussell.

Funk for Forest

Funk for Forest do everything for the groove. Born from the lineage of Funk that transcends their collective years at times they channel a music legacy directly to the dance floor today. The fleeting lineup, which can grow to ten people, comes from a long line of Norwegian live acts who fuse Funk, Soul, Disco and more obscure genres into accessible dance floor cuts. From the upbeat Frank Znort to the futuristic fusion of Flammer Dance Band, Funk for Forest joins an impressive lineage of live dance bands in Oslo’s history.
